As a kid growing up in a
province, I have been enthralled with the natural beauty that
surrounded me, from the green farm fields to landscapes, people, animals and even little things that catches my attention. I remember the times seeing my farm neighbors harvested rice and playing on the beach
with my friends. If I had a camera then, I could have captured every moment of my childhood.
I was in my mid 30s when I bought
my first point-and shoot-camera and since then, I have been hooked on photography. It became natural for me to capture everything, the places of my childhood memories, and
reliving through my lens, the beauty of natural sceneries that had captivated
my imagination and have nurtured my current passion for photography.

My enthusiasm and drive to
capture as much as I could have triggered my wandering feet, as I plan to travel outside the Metropolis to experience other places and cultures via motorcycle.

So far, my journey started at Malolos, Bulacan last August 18, 2016 with my friend, Joseph, and we plan to travel to cities of Luzon via our motorcycles in the coming future. Our next target will be the cool high lands of Tagaytay City in the early week of September.

I consider myself a beginner in
photography given that I have been seriously shooting for only three years. I am very interested in street and
documentary photography, that’s why I’m partial to shooting individuals in the
natural environment. Unlike many
hobbyist and professionals in the field, I have never used a film-based
camera. I consider myself belonging to
the digital generation, shooting with a DSLR and a camera phone.

I admit that photography fills
certain voids in my life. When boredom
strikes, I pick up my camera and walk around to photograph people. I immediately feel exhilarated
afterwards. For me, photography is a medium that I can
use to show the beauty in things that are sometimes invisible to the eyes. Thus, in general, my photos are about life –
depicting emotions, actions and realities, which I prefer to capture in color
or black& white.
